We have not appointed a data protection officer, as we are not legally required to.

Magelo recommends tech products based on what you type. To do that, we process the text of your request and your selected budget. You don't need an account to use Magelo.

Please don't enter personal data you don't need to, such as your name, address, health information or payment details.

• Your requests: the text you enter and your budget setting.
• Technical data: IP address, date and time of access, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL. Our hosting provider Cloudflare collects this automatically when it delivers the website.
• Contact data: if you email us, your email address and the content of your message.

• Generating recommendations for your request: performance of the service you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Operating the website securely, preventing abuse and fixing errors: our legitimate interest in a secure, working service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Improving Magelo using anonymised or aggregated request data: our legitimate interest in improving the product (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Answering your messages: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR, depending on the subject.

To generate recommendations, the text of your request is sent to our AI provider Anthropic Ireland, Limited, 6th Floor, South Bank House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, D04 TR29, Ireland, the provider of the Claude AI models. Anthropic processes your request on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). Under Anthropic’s commercial terms, your requests are not used to train its AI models.

Magelo does not make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you (Art. 22 GDPR). Recommendations are suggestions only. In line with the EU AI Act, we inform you that you are interacting with an AI system.

• Hosting and delivery: Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare hosts this website (Cloudflare Pages), delivers it through its network and protects it against attacks. To do so it processes your IP address and technical request data.
• Database: Supabase Pte. Ltd., 65 Chulia Street #38-02/03, OCBC Centre, Singapore 049513. Supabase stores your requests and the recommendations Magelo generates. The database is located in the EU.
• AI provider: see section 5.

Fonts, scripts and images are hosted on our own server. Loading this website does not connect your browser to Google Fonts or other third-party servers.

We do not sell your data.

Some of our providers are based outside the EU or use sub-processors outside the EU. We make sure such transfers are protected:

• Cloudflare is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, so transfers to Cloudflare, Inc. rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).
• Supabase stores our database in the EU. Where Supabase or its sub-processors access data from outside the EU, this is covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in Supabase's data processing agreement (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).
• Anthropic may process requests in the United States through its parent company Anthropic, PBC. This is covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in Anthropic’s data processing agreement (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).

When you click a link to a retailer, you leave Magelo. The retailer or affiliate network may then set cookies to record that you came from us. This happens on the retailer's website and is governed by the retailer's privacy policy. Magelo itself does not pass your request text to retailers.

Magelo sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. Your settings (such as light or dark mode) and your list of recent searches are saved only in your browser’s local storage on your device and are never sent to us. You can delete the list under Settings → Clear recent searches. This is strictly necessary to provide the function you asked for. If that changes, we will ask for your consent first where the law requires it (Art. 10/2 Belgian law of 30 July 2018, ePrivacy rules).

• Requests: deleted after 30 days, unless anonymised.
• Technical request data at Cloudflare: kept only as long as needed to deliver and secure the website, in line with Cloudflare's retention periods (14 days).
• Emails: kept as long as needed to handle your request, and longer only where statutory retention rules apply.

You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). To use these rights, email contact@visseo.info.

You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Belgium this is the Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données), Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, dataprotectionauthority.be.

Magelo is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly process data of children under that age.

We update this policy when Magelo or the law changes. The current version is always available on this page.
