Questions and answers

Does the FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro work with cable internet?

Not as a modem. It has DSL and fibre modems built in. With cable, it can only run as a router behind the cable modem.

Do I need Wi-Fi 7 devices to benefit?

Older devices still connect and often gain from the strong signal. The full Wi-Fi 7 speed and 6 GHz band need compatible devices.
